Starting Friday - 2 sessions - 10amSaturday Afternoon - 2pm afternoon session.
Discover how to turn Old T-Shirts into Textile Sculptures over one and a half days. Spreading the course over at least one night will allow designing and drying time in between sessions resulting in a more professional painted finish.
The course is covered in three sessions. Saturday is a full day with two sessions.
The three sessions are as follows.
1. Learn to form build a statue using plaster busts with expressive arms onto a stand; saturday morning
2. Design your sculpture and "dressing' it using fabric hardener. Saturday afternoon.
3. Embellish using colour pigment blending & dry-brushing techniques when your sculpture has dried. Sunday morning.
While participants can create the standard model, there is an opportunity to add your own variations including choosing your own plaster bust from African, European or a Japanese style and potential for adding your own found objects, broken jewellery or family memorabilia.
Although this is a step up from the Standard Statue Class, beginners are still able to participate and they will definitely walk away with a fabulous sculpture to amaze friends & family.
All tuition, materials, equipment and standard tea & coffee included. BYO Lunch & special requirements (favourite Apron or special gloves or dietary requirements). We do have a microwave and a fridge
Andonis Cafe is two doors up with fantastic food for lunch and great coffee. You can even order online in advance.
