About this Event
Explore the creative world of fabric dyeing in this hands-on introductory workshop at the Mood Fabrics Showroom in Chicago (109 S State St, Chicago, IL 60603)! Participants will learn five different ways to transform fabric using liquid dyes, powder dyes, and natural dye materials. The instructor will demonstrate each technique and explain how different application methods, colors, and materials affect the final result.
Participants will then choose one technique to try themselves, allowing them to experiment with color, texture, and pattern in a relaxed and creative environment. Techniques covered will include spray-on dyeing, ice dyeing, tea bag and hibiscus dyeing, color mixing, and dip dyeing. Learn different fabric dyeing techniques that you can apply to your own garments and practice the technique on cotton fabric with hands-on help.
