Expert Biography

Alex Oxborough is the founder of , which helps small businesses make practical use of AI to improve the way they work.

With a background in marketing and first-hand experience of running a small online business, Alex understands the realities facing founders and owner-managers who are interested in AI but don't necessarily have the time, technical knowledge or internal resources available to larger organisations.

Her approach starts with the business rather than the technology: identifying where AI can genuinely save time, ease bottlenecks, improve the quality or consistency of work and support growth, then helping businesses put practical ways of using it into place.

Alex's work is grounded in the realities of small businesses, where people often work across multiple areas and simplicity matters. She focuses on helping businesses get useful foundations in place, build repeatable ways of working and stay in control of how AI is used, while protecting the judgement, relationships and personality that make the business distinctive.

About Bright Brief

helps small businesses make AI a useful part of the way they work.

Through workshops and tailored, hands-on support, Bright Brief helps businesses identify where AI can make a genuine difference, put practical solutions into place and build confidence over time.

That might mean using AI to reduce repetitive work, ease bottlenecks, organise information, support marketing and customer communications, or simply get more done with the time and resources already available.

The focus is on practical, manageable adoption rather than unnecessary complexity, helping small businesses develop ways of working they can continue to use and adapt as their needs and the technology evolve.

Bright Brief works with businesses and small-business communities across Sussex and the wider South East.
