About this Event
Once a month, together with the cooperation of Rialto, we are happy to announce EXPATS MOVIE NIGHT: an event to get together with other internationals and watch recent foreign language films with English subtitles at the Rialto cinema
There will be a reserved area for the AIC group where gathering before the movie. Ask at the entrance where the meeting point is.
After the movie, we will move to Bar Boele to have some drinks and network.
WHERE?: The meetings are at Rialto VU: a brand new innovative film theatre at the VU Campus. The host Karolina will be there beforehand and afterward to meet and greet and have a few drinks.
WHEN: Wednesday 8th of February at 19:00h.

THE MOVIE?: French legal drama SAINT OMER by Alice Diop
? SAINT OMER: Writer Rama follows the trial of a woman charged with the M**der of her child. The case confronts her with her own past. SAINT OMER is the feature debut of documentary filmmaker Alice Diop. She based the story on an almost identical but real case from 2013. The way she did this, with changes of perspective, impressed the international film scene, earning her many awards, including the Grand Prize of the Jury at the last Venice Film Festival.
