The Wash is a fantastic area for wildlife, particularly birds which love its shallow waters and food-rich mudflats. These are special events, using our 4x4 vehicle to take a very limited number of participants out off the main part of the reserve, down to where it meets the Wash. There you may see wildlife you would not ordinarily do so, such as fishing Sandwich Terns, Turnstones, Eiders, and if you are lucky Common Seals, or maybe even a dolphin!The tours are led by Simon, our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Warden. The tours will be conducted using our 4x4 pick-up truck, and therefore are extremely limited in availability. With only 4 tours per year, this is very much an exclusive offer, and an unique experience.
Price is £180, covering the whole party.
Up to 3 people per booking, with exclusive use of our vehicle and guide.
Sorry, no dogs (except assistance dogs) on this event
Minimal walking is involved, ideal for those with limited mobility
Toilets are available at the visitor centre at the start and end of the event
