About this Event
What’s an issue you wish more people were talking about? Make a zine about it.
Join artist and organizer Michael Segura for a hands-on workshop exploring zine making as a tool for creative expression and civic engagement. See his zine , a zine about Amazons continued exploitiation of communities of color.
Zines are small, self-published booklets that make room for your ideas, stories, and point of view. They can be personal, political, playful—or all three.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own zine and explore ways to use words and images to highlight an issue that matters to you. Whether you have a message in mind or are still figuring out what you want to say, this is a space to connect your creativity with your concerns for your community.
