Start this wonderful evening with friends at the wine & cheese reception beginning at 4:30PM to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Pat Conroy's bestselling novel, The Great Santini.
Then, the entertainment kicks up a notch with an interview with Michael O'Keefe at 5:00PM.
Michael O'Keefe is an extraordinary talent of stage and screen, best known for delivering one of the most moving breakout performances of his generation. As the co-star of the 1979 cinematic triumph The Great Santini, his deeply moving portrayal of Ben Meechum earned him an Academy Award nomination and cemented his place in film history. Beyond his acclaimed dramatic roots, he is also widely celebrated for his iconic comedic turn as Danny Noonan in Caddyshack, as well as major roles on Broadway and in film and television.
Michael will be interviewed by Margaret Evans, and he will be available to sign books during the reception from 4:30-5PM.
Directly following the interview will be the screening of the movie at 5:30PM.
