🇪🇺 Pokračovanie formátu podujatí Európa v Trenčíne – priamy spoj za európskym umením, hudbou a kultúrou. Prostredníctvom koncertov, výstav a stretnutí chceme prepájať Trenčín s rôznymi krajinami Európy a prinášať autentické umelecké zážitky, ktoré reflektujú rozmanitosť, tradície aj súčasnú tvorbu naprieč kontinentom. 🎶 Cátia Alhandra & Tiago Valentim
Toto duo vzniklo zo stretnutia dvoch hudobníkov s hlboko tvorivými a rozmanitými umeleckými cestami, v ktorých sa hlas a gitara spájajú a vytvárajú bohatý, citlivý a mnohovrstevný hudobný jazyk. Ich tvorba, zakorenená vo výrazovej sile poézie a portugalského jazyka, sa pohybuje na pomedzí tradície a nového uchopenia, pričom fado vníma nielen ako kultúrne dedičstvo, ale aj ako živú a neustále sa vyvíjajúcu formu umeleckého vyjadrenia.
Popri emocionálne silných interpretáciách duo uvádza aj autorské skladby rôznych skladateľov a autorov – vrátane tvorcov z Algarve a Lisabonu. Spája tak rozličné estetické prístupy a vplyvy, pričom si zachováva nadčasovú a ucelenú umeleckú identitu. Ich hudba sa prirodzene pohybuje medzi fadom, tradičnou portugalskou hudbou a súčasným hudobným cítením a vytvára priestor pre improvizáciu, atmosféru a emocionálnu hĺbku.
🎸 V tomto umeleckom spojení sa hlas stáva zároveň telom i rozprávaním, zatiaľ čo gitara vytvára sugestívne zvukové krajiny, ktoré hlas niekedy podopierajú a inokedy spochybňujú či vyzývajú. Vzniká tak intímny a pohlcujúci dialóg. 🎼 Každé vystúpenie sa rozvíja ako poetická a emocionálna cesta, na ktorej sa prelínajú pamäť, tradícia a nové uchopenie, aby vznikol autentický zážitok plný duše, intenzity a tvorivej slobody.

Through concerts, exhibitions, and gatherings, we aim to connect Trenčín with different countries across Europe and bring authentic artistic experiences that reflect the diversity, traditions, and contemporary creativity found throughout the continent.

This duo emerged from the meeting of two musicians with deeply creative and diverse artistic paths, where voice and guitar converge to create a rich, sensitive, and multifaceted musical language.
Rooted in the expressive power of poetry and the Portuguese language, their work inhabits a space between tradition and reinvention, embracing fado not only as heritage, but as a living and ever-evolving form of expression.
Alongside emotionally charged interpretations, the duo also presents original compositions by various songwriters — including composers from the Algarve and Lisbon — bringing together different aesthetics and influences while maintaining a timeless and cohesive artistic identity.
Their music moves fluidly between fado, traditional Portuguese music, and contemporary sensibilities, opening space for improvisation, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
Within this artistic encounter, the voice becomes both body and narrative, while the guitar shapes evocative sonic landscapes that at times sustain, at times challenge, creating an intimate and immersive dialogue.
Each performance unfolds as a poetic and emotional journey where memory, tradition, and reinvention intertwine, giving rise to an authentic experience imbued with soul, intensity, and expressive freedom.
