Eternal November presents two distinctive musicians who similarly search for ways of drawing emotion into the raw physicality of performed sound. Jordan Sand, currently based between Trondheim and Brussels, weaves voice into the organ-like resonances of bowed double bass, bringing extended technique and folk string playing to create a space that is both abstract and very intimate. Alongside her, London-based music artist felix taylor amplifies synthesizers through custom-built speakers, which gently vibrate materials fitted with various percussive elements. felix is joined by his long-term collaborator, Barcelona-based musician opo, a member of Jokkoo Collective.

Jordan Sand weaves voice into the organ-like resonances of bowed double bass. Folk string playing and tinges of Nordic jazz collide with extended techniques and the experimental, reckless spirit of the underground. At once raw and beautiful, gritty and delicate, her performances have been described as “impressive” (New York Times) and “Joni Mitchell meets Ligeti” (Omaha Under the Radar).
In October 2026, Sand releases her debut solo album Baby Ghost on Hallow Ground label (Switzerland). Recorded live in single takes, freely improvised, and conceived as a series of scenes or tableaus, Baby Ghost is haunting and abstract, blending high female vocalises with the bowed harmonics of the instrument. Drawing upon influences as varied as the bass-and-voice minimalism of Nat Baldwin, the radical free improvisation of Joëlle Léandre, the chamber jazz of Christian Wallumrød, and genre-defying artists such as Kate Bush and Arthur Russell, Sand merges forms with ease.
Born in New York and based in Norway since 2020, Sand has lived in ten cities and four countries, and plays on a Hungarian double bass of otherwise unknown origin. She holds a PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and is currently based between Trondheim and Brussels.
felix taylor is an artist and composer from South London. His work explores the different ways music and sound is recorded and reproduced. It often includes music composed by felix, alongside speech, performance and field recordings created socially in workshops and recording sessions, often with non musicians. Most of his works are written for or with specific listening and recording technologies like FM radio, custom built speakers, consumer hifis or a mixture of western and graphic notation.
For this performance felix will amplify synthesizers through his custom built speakers previously explored in his “Private Ceremony” installation at the Outhouse Gallery in 2025. The speakers use exciters to vibrate materials fitted with various percussive elements, creating visual and percussive signposts to the drones and melodies they amplify.
felix is joined by opo – a Barcelona-based musician who plays with sounds, images, and DIY technology with a focus on improvisation and collaboration. opo is a member of the Jokkoo Collective, founded in Barcelona in 2017, that explores and amplifies contemporary electronic and avant-garde sounds from the African continent and its diaspora. Responding to their absence within European club circuits, Jokkoo forges connections and spaces where non-hegemonic musical aesthetics lead, opening room for hybrid Afroelectronic experimentation and diasporic narratives.
opo is currently studying dub histories, noise, and electronics. They are also strongly influenced by sci-fi, ancestral afro musics, jazz, performance art, and food. opo hopes to subvert hierarchies and binaries whilst learning life skills, most of all love (in) communication.
