The program will take attendees through the Special Needs Trust planning process, including:

Estate Planning for Special Needs Trusts – Key considerations, appropriate estate-planning language, and how an SNT fits within a comprehensive estate plan.

Stand-Alone Special Needs Trusts – Attorney-prepared trusts, when they may be appropriate, and important planning considerations.

Master Pooled Special Needs Trusts – How pooled trusts work, trustee administration, funding considerations, and circumstances in which a pooled trust may be an appropriate option.

Practical Considerations – Helping families understand their options and coordinating estate planning, trust administration, and public-benefit considerations.

This is also an opportunity to connect with fellow attorneys and professionals while expanding your knowledge of an important and often complex area of planning.

California MCLE Credit: Pending Approval

The University of West Los Angeles (UWLA) will serve as the MCLE provider. Upon approval and completion of the applicable participation requirements, MCLE credit documentation/certificates will be provided after the program concludes.
