Essential Tremor affects over 300,000 Australians, making it one of the most common movement disorders in the country – yet it remains widely misunderstood. Often mistaken for “nerves,” ET is a neurological condition that can affect people of any age, causing shaking in the hands, arms, head, voice, and other parts of the body. Despite its prevalence, there has been no dedicated patient advocacy organisation in Australia to support this community until now.
