About this Event
Join Dr. Devan Catalano, CSU’s Equine Extension Specialist, as she covers the fundamentals of equine nutrition, with a focus on forage as the foundation of a healthy feeding program. We’ll discuss how to understand hay analysis results, recognize when a horse’s nutritional needs change, and avoid common feeding mistakes.
We’ll also talk about how drought and hay availability can affect feeding decisions including strategies for making the most of limited or lower-quality forage. Participants will leave with practical tools for evaluating their own feeding program and making informed decisions for horses of different ages, workloads, and needs.
Event will take place in the Pioneer Room.
