Course Objective:
This hands-on course takes the hygiene visit beyond digital data collection by showing dental teams how to turn 3D intraoral scans into meaningful chairside conversations - and ultimately into opportunities to improve patient health and function.
Participants will learn how to efficiently capture a full-arch intraoral scan and use the patient’s digital twin to identify and visually communicate fractures, cracks, wear, recession, crowding, bite discrepancies, and other signs of malocclusion. By using digital photography, occlusal analysis, bite maps, and comparison tools chairside, teams can help patients see and understand conditions that may otherwise be difficult to explain.
The course will then connect diagnosis and patient education to treatment by introducing how CandidPro clear aligner therapy can be incorporated into the digital workflow to address appropriate malocclusions, improve tooth position and arch form, and work toward a healthier, more functional occlusion.
The goal is to create a repeatable workflow that moves from digital records → patient understanding → treatment conversation → improved function.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this hands-on course, participants should be able to:
- Execute a predictable full-arch intraoral scanning workflow.
- Capture high-quality 2D images and 3D IOS scans for digital records and patient education.
- Use a patient's 3D digital twin chairside to identify and communicate crowding, wear, bite discrepancies, and other signs of malocclusion.
- Interpret digital bite/heat maps and comparison tools to help patients better understand their occlusion and the potential consequences of leaving malocclusion untreated.
- Integrate digital records and AI findings into a cohesive, health-focused case presentation.
- Recognize appropriate opportunities to transition the conversation from identifying malocclusion to discussing clear aligner therapy.
- Understand how CandidPro can be incorporated into the digital workflow to address appropriate malocclusions and work toward improved arch form and functional occlusion.
- Connect the hygiene scan to a repeatable workflow for patient education, treatment planning, and improved functional outcomes.
