Come learn simple practices for clearing what we carry, calming the nervous system, and working with the plants as allies.
About this Event

ENERGETIC HYGIENE RITUALS

So many of us move through our days carrying more than our own—whether it's the moods of the people we love, the stress of our work, the heaviness of the news, or the weight of a year that asked a lot of us—and we rarely pause to notice how much of it has settled into the body. Energetic hygiene is the simple, daily practice of tending our energy the way we tend our physical body: noticing what we have taken on, clearing what is not ours, and returning to ourselves with a little more ease.

In this workshop we will draw on curanderismo and the Andean and Amazonian folk medicine traditions I have trained in, where emotions are understood as aires, energies that move through us and can be gently released. We will learn how to recognize what we are carrying, how stress and shock live in the body, and how the plants have always been allies in helping us come back into balance.

Together we will practice embodiment tools, learn the foundations of a self-limpia (a traditional herbal cleansing), meet a few of the plants that support our energy and nervous system, and make an herbal bath salt blend to take home. You will leave with a set of simple practices you can return to on your own, through the end of the year and into the new one.

No experience is needed. This is for anyone who feels sensitive to the energy around them, anyone who holds space for others, and anyone ready to tend themselves with a little more care as the year comes to a close.

Materials for the workshop are included in the ticket price.

Your Facilitator:

Asha Kohli is the founder of Way of Nitarā, a somatic healing and ceremonial practice. Nitarā means “deeply rooted” in Sanskrit, and the name reflects the heart of her work: helping people come home to their bodies, their lineages, and the earth. Asha apprenticed for nearly a decade in her ancestral lineages of Curanderismo, woven with Andean and Amazonian folk medicine under Francisca Santibanez, alongside a lifelong path with Ayurveda. She teaches embodiment, energetic hygiene, folk medicine, and relationship with the plant spirits. Learn more at wayofnitara.com and IG @way.of.nitara
