Empowered, Not Afraid: Strategies for Everyday Personal Safety is a focused personal safety briefing that teaches women how to replace fear with informed, calm confidence. The course uses real crime data to clarify the true patterns of victimization highlighting when, where, and how crimes against women most often occur and dispels common myths that create unnecessary anxiety. Participants learn practical situational skills, including recognizing environmental anomalies, understanding pre‑attack indicators. The session emphasizes integrating simple, sustainable safety habits. Taught by Michael Lukanik, a 30‑year law enforcement veteran and certified Connecticut police instructor, the program delivers legally grounded, real world strategies used by professionals. Designed for women of all ages and backgrounds.
