This FREE hybrid event (lunch included!) will be on October 22nd from 12:00-3:00 pm in Asheville, NC, at Hatch Coworking.
We welcome business owners, advisors (see below: CLE/CE credit available 12-1 pm), economic developers, and anyone interested in learning about employee ownership as a tool for business continuity that also increases employee recruitment, retention, and engagement.
Employee ownership via Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs), and Worker Cooperatives keeps legacy businesses open and locally owned long-term, while providing employees and communities with a powerful wealth-building tool.
Additional details will be added as the agenda and guest speakers are finalized, but the event will include:
- 12-1 pm: Free Lunch & Overview of Employee Ownership Models (Offering 1 hour of CLE or CE credit for NASBA, CFP, EPI-CEPA, and BEI )
- 1-3 pm: Representatives from WNC employee-owned companies sharing their stories and experiences. Subject matter experts providing insight into employee ownership structures and conversions
