Get ready to mix stitches and paint in a fun, hands-on evening of embroidery and watercolor art!About this Event
Join me for a beginner-friendly workshop where you'll learn the basics of embroidery and discover how to beautifully incorporate watercolour with embroidery to create charming, fall-inspired designs.
No prior experience required; come as you are, and all materials are provided. By the end of the session, you'll take home a cute, small piece of fabric art that you made yourself!
What you'll learn
- Embroidery basics: Get familiar with embroidery hoops, needles, threads, and how to prepare your fabric.
- Two foundational stitches: Learn the back stitch and French knot, and practice using them to create simple motifs.
- Watercolour on fabric: Learn how to use watercolour to create soft washes and colourful backgrounds on fabric.
- Combining paint & thread: Explore how watercolour and embroidery can work together, and use your painted fabric as a canvas for your stitches.
- Create your own fall-inspired piece: Bring everything together to embroider a cute autumn or Halloween-inspired motif — think pumpkins, apples, ghosts, and more!
