Create a bold ring whose character comes from substantial metal, strong lines, and a deliberately primitive design.In our Edgy Rustic Ring class, you’ll learn how to use 16-gauge sheet metal and heavy-gauge square wire to fabricate a gender-neutral ring with an edgy, rustic look.
This project moves away from delicate, highly polished jewelry and embraces a heavier visual style. As you work with the sheet and square wire, you’ll explore how the materials themselves can help give a ring its distinctive character.
This is an intermediate-level class intended for makers who want to build on their existing jewelry-making experience with instructor guidance.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience.
