Within you, there is breath, it moves naturally through you, wholly and simply. It is what gives life to everything. ‘Breath’ comes from the latin word spiritus or ‘Spirit’. Far too often we become unconscious to the sacred act of inhaling and exhaling. We forget that our breath can tell us so much about who we are and how we are at any one moment.
Your breath is your personal spirit. If you listen to and commune with it, you will awaken who you are and what you are called to do in this precious, fleeting life. By bringing your awareness to your breath, you embrace your spirit, your teacher, your mirror, your unique truth.
This workshop is about invoking the spirit. Over the weekend, we will use the 5Rhythms map to focus on how our breath lives within our moving body. We will explore how each rhythm has a unique relationship with our breath. As we dance and breathe with intention, we move through the Wave, cracking open the door of our spirit into a state of pure ecstasy.
Beginners and experienced dancers are equally welcome.
