Build on our Intro to Swing Series which focused mainly on 6-count swing. This series will progress into more 8-count swing and the iconic Lindy Hop move, the swingout! All dancers will learn the proper momentum and connection for Lindy circles, swingouts and some swingout variations. Experienced dancers will have the opportunity to break down the minutiae of the technique.Advanced beginner level. Attendance of Intro to Swing series or equivalent familiarity with 6-count swing required. Familiarity with 8-count swing helpful. This is a progressive series, but drop-ins are welcome.
Sliding scale pricing
Lesson: $10-20
Dance only: $5-10
Lesson: 7:00 - 8.00 PM (please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier for check-in)
Social Dance: 8:00 - 10.00 PM (will include Lindy, Balboa, and Blues music)
Location: Parish hall at St. John's Episcopal Church, 400 Humphrey Street
Parking: Street parking on Orange and Humphrey. Spots marked for Church Business are available for us to use. Avoid zoned resident parking spots. The closest free parking lot is Yale Lot 22 (265 Whitney), about a 5 minute walk.
