About this Event
Join Nutritional Therapist Lynette Rhodes for a friendly, interactive workshop on what really happens during perimenopause and beyond, and how nutrition can support.
Menopause isn’t just about falling oestrogen. Several hormone systems change and interact, affecting your energy, mood, sleep, weight, bones, cravings and stress resilience. What works at one stage may not work at the next, and this session will help you understand why.
Hosted by Lynette Rhodes:
Lynette is a BANT registered nutritional therapist with a keen interest in women's health and a mission to empower wellness through the science of nutrition and lifestyle. With a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Nutritional Therapy, she is passionate about making the science behind health accessible, engaging and, most importantly, practical. She supports clients with a broad range of health challenges, as well as those seeking to maintain optimal health through the various stages of life.
We’ll cover:
- The four key areas of hormonal change during perimenopause and post menopause, and how these hormones work together
- Why blood sugar balance becomes increasingly important for weight management, energy and hormonal health
- How food and lifestyle choices can help support healthy oestrogen metabolism
- Considerations of intermittent fasting in midlife
- Nutrition strategies to support strong bones and healthy ageing
- Why strength training and other forms of exercise matter at this stage
- The link between stress, cortisol and peri- / menopausal symptoms
- Simple achievable steps you can implement straight away to support your wellbeing
This is a small-group session with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Whether you’re just beginning to notice hormonal changes, are in the midst of perimenopause, or have already reached menopause, you’ll leave with evidence-informed, practical strategies to help you feel your best.
