Elaine is a qualified architect with 30 years’ experience in the built environment and will introduce MPA’s interactive Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) installation. During this short tour, she will:
- Outline how concrete SuDS solutions can manage surface water, improve climate resilience and enhance biodiversity in urban settings
- Explain the principles behind SuDS and the performance benefits of permeable concrete systems
- Explore how design and material selection can support wider environmental and social outcomes
This informal visit is a chance for emerging architects, students, and educators to:
- See SuDS concepts brought to life at full scale
- Ask practical questions about integrating SuDS into live projects
- Network with peers and others interested in water resilience and sustainable urban design
