About this Event
Women’s stories are not always prominent in the history of the City of London. However, digging below the surface of the last two thousand years reveals tales of rebellious queens, a seventeenth century cross-dressing pickpocket, would-be religious and political reformers, an acquitted husband-killer and an aristocratic socialite with a scandalous backstory. Hear the accounts of their lives and decide for yourself the label that best fits each woman!
Meeting Place: outside St Paul’s tube station, exit 2, by Caffe Nero, Panyer Alley.
The walk will last about 2 hours, ending at Bank Junction outside the Mansion House.
