About this Event
$75/person · 4-Courses · 10 Seats
Día de los Muertos is a celebration of the people we've lost and the love that stays with us. Join us for an intimate evening honoring them the way they'd want: around a table, with good food, art, and each other.
Bring a photo of someone you love. We'll place it on our community ofrenda, where it will stay with us through the night.
The Dinner
San Diego native Chef Lety Gonzalez learned her family's story through recipes passed down by her mother and grandmother. After leading kitchens across San Diego, cooking alongside Michelin-starred Chef Ruffo Ibarra, and serving as Executive Chef of Fox Point Farms, she now brings her Comida Fronteriza from Brujas Cocina in Barrio Logan.

The Art
Surrealist painter Ben Tallakson creates worlds where hearts bloom into flowers and doves carry roses over broken walls. Throughout dinner, he'll paint a Día de los Muertos–inspired piece live, inspired by the evening and the ofrenda around him. His original work will be on display, with prints and commissions available.
