About this Event
ㅤ
This is a welcoming club for younger players aged 11 and up who want to play a roleplaying game (like Dungeons and Dragons), but don't know where to start....
Welcome to the Club...
Perfect for younger players who want to dive into the world of fantasy roleplaying for the first time, this event serves as an excellent starting place for them to learn and start playing.
We provide everything they need to play, including dice and characters, and we will walk them through the rules and help them understand the game.
We run our younger players sessions with a roleplaying game called Land of Eem, which is a D&D-adjacent system with simpler and more accessible rules that have been built with younger players in mind. It's quicker to learn and understand, and is great for beginner roleplayers to start with.
As with most roleplaying games, they'll need to make decisions and roll dice to determine the outcomes of their choices. Imagination is the key tool they'll need to use when playing.
Ticket Costs
The cost of this event is £11.00 per player attending, and we take this payment on the day of the event.
How frequently do we run...
We run every fornight at The Dice Box. Each time, players will be thrown into an adventure where they will need to work together to overcome problems and tackle fearsome foes.
These adventures are one shot adventures, which means players can drop in and out depending on their availability without missing out of the story while still being able to play and progress the same character.
What is Land of Eem?
It's kind of like The Muppets meets Lord of the Rings. Land of Eem is a fun, fantastical, fantasy-based system that is similiar to Dungeons and Dragons, but it is easier to learn, easier to play, and a better jumping in point for beginning players to start roleplaying games.
A Typical Sessions includes....
- A clear story with a chance for every player to contribute.
- Exploration, roleplaying, puzzles, and age-appropriate fantasy action.
- Guided practice with character sheets, ability checks, saving throws, and turn-taking
