Rotten Floo Promotions presents Droog-A-Poolooza 20To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the debut gig of Josh and Jake from El Generico, were putting on an all day mini-festival.
7 bands to play starting at 3 in the afternoon and going on until 11pm at the wonderful Café Momus.
Acts confirmed and playing on the day include:
Harakiri Karaoke- The Bus Station Loonies Chris Wheelie playing cabaret keyboard versions of classic punk songs. It's just as glorious as it sounds.
Messrs Sullen- Issac Lenkiewicz's ukulele folk song-smithery. Beautiful strangeness from one of the minds behind Funband.
Anarcho Folko- Bristol based Anarchist folk-punk band who were a staple of the Plymouth scene in the 2000s. Their first show in years and their first show in Plymouth in longer than that.
Shy Creatures- Dark indie dream pop three piece from West Cornwall. An absolute treat and someone we've wanted to book for a long time.
Last Kind Hour- Folk inspired ephemeral noir. We'll stop booking them when they stop being incredible, so we'll never stop booking them. If you've not seen them yet, you're only hurting yourself.
El Generico- The sad, horny, feral joysters play an hour long set of songs spanning the entirety of Jake and Josh's prolific history. A celebration of twenty years of songwriting performed by a band that are at the top of their game.
The Spoils Collective- The ultimate festival closing band, in our opinion. If there's a more joyous anarchic mess out there, we've yet to see it. Guaranteed to send you home with a smile on your face looking like you've been dragged through a hedge backwards.
Tickets are £10 (plus booking fee), but we'll be doing a limited number of early bird £7 (plus booking fee) tickets.
Us and the El Generico fellas are hoping to turn this into an annual event. Show us that you think that's a good idea by showing up and having a good time!
