New York Queer Comedy Comes to Palm Springs

New York comedian Drew Tessier is bringing a little Greenwich Village chaos to Palm Springs.

Seen on Netflix and Good Morning America, Drew is the creator of the New York Queer Comedy Festival, host of Drew Tessier’s (Mostly) Queer Comedy Show podcast, and producer of Manhattan’s weekly queer comedy showcase. A regular at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club, Drew brings sharp, irreverent stand-up about dating, sex, relationships, gay culture and the absurdities of everyday life.

For his Palm Springs debut at Spirit Animal, Drew is bringing some of his favorite New York weirdos with him.

Hozho Harris (The Onion) hosts the night, featuring Spirit Animal favorite David Mills (BBC), Drew Tessier and surprise guests.

Expect queer comedy without the corporate Pride brochure: dating disasters, bad decisions, New York neuroses and plenty that probably shouldn’t be discussed in polite company.

Queer comics. Questionable judgment. Very good jokes.

Spirit Animal, located inside Hotel Zoso, is Take Five’s premium live entertainment venue — formerly Pretty Faces Nightclub and Sirocco — reimagined as a retro-inspired psychedelic supper club. Featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting, comfortable table seating, and a non-smoking environment, Spirit Animal was built for immersive live entertainment experiences where the vibe runs strong.
