Join us for Dream Big: Black Youth Enterprise Day, an inspiring collaborative event between USW and Big Ideas Wales celebrating Black entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience, and ambition.
This empowering event is designed for young people who are interested in business, self-employment, personal development, and creating positive futures. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the world of entrepreneurship and opportunities available to them from motivational speakers, successful business owners, interactive networking sessions, and expert support organisations.
Whether you're considering starting a business, exploring career options, or simply looking for inspiration, this event will provide practical advice, real-life success stories, and valuable connections.
Keynote Speaker – Mo Jannah
We're excited that our keynote speaker is BAFTA-nominated Welsh presenter, producer, and creative entrepreneur Mo Jannah. Mo has worked on several TV series from X-Ray on BBC Wales to ‘Wild Reckoning’ a new 16-part series co-commissioned by BBC Daytime and BBC Cymru Wales, fronted by Bear Grylls. He continues to champion human connection and personal storytelling set against Wales’s striking landscapes.
Mo will share why Black History is so vital to Welsh History and his personal journey from growing up in Cardiff to working as a presenter to his most recent entrepreneurial venture into VR storytelling. Mo will also be showcasing his latest Black Welsh heritage VR stories for everyone to experience firsthand.

Hear directly from successful entrepreneurs as they share their journeys, challenges, and achievements, including:
