About this Event
For one weekend, Wedesi opens the gates on the first pan-Asian culture festival this city has ever seen.
For a thousand years, the dragon has moved through Asia as a sign of prosperity, strength and abundance. It has opened new years, blessed new beginnings, and drawn crowds into the street. Now it arrives in Berlin.
It does not arrive quietly.
Expect drums that you feel before you hear. Expect fire in the choreography. Expect a weekend this city has been waiting for without knowing it.
THE STAGE
? Dragon & Lion Dance
The real thing. Acrobatic troupes moving to a rhythm that has opened celebrations across Asia for a millennium. Loud, physical, impossible to look away from. This is what the festival is named for and it is worth the ticket alone.
? Ancient Chinese Strings
Guzheng and erhu, instruments with centuries behind them, played live. The oldest sound in the building, and the one that will bring the whole room to a stop.
? K-Pop Showcase
The crews, the choreography, the precision that took over the world. Sharp, fast, and built to move a crowd.
? Vietnamese Live Music
Voices and sounds from Vietnam on a Berlin stage a set almost nobody in this city has had the chance to hear live. Until now.

Dahai discovered the ancient art of hand-pulled noodles on a long train journey through China in 2023 — and fell in love with the rich Silk Road history behind it. Info: "Shehui Yao" 社会摇is a club dance popular among young people in China and within internet culture. 50JING is a chinese electro and locking dancer in Berlin. Info: Melissa Lee, the Queen of Kawaii, is a Berlin-based neo-burlesque performer, host, and designer. She infuses her acts with the elegance of traditional Asian art forms and the playful energy of Japan’s kawaii culture, creating a blend that is sure to become your new favorite flavor. In 2025 she won her first award at the Berlin Burlesque Festival!
She brings the traditional art form of the dragon dance from my father's home country, China, to the stage. The dragon is 8 meters long and equipped with LEDs
