One week before Halloween, the shadows lengthen over Prague as the Prague Horrortheater unveils a bold new stage adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula—performed in the hauntingly beautiful Church of Sacré Coeur.This production marks a double milestone: 15 years of Prague Horrortheater and the creator’s eighth adaptation of Dracula across multiple media. Previous incarnations have taken the story from stage to radio, short film, and even the graphic page—each time reshaping the myth for a new form. Now, the vampire returns to where it arguably belongs most: live, physical, and dangerously close.
Set within the monumental interior of Sacré Coeur, the production embraces the novel’s Gothic core—obsession, desire, decay, and occultism—while letting the architecture itself become part of the drama. The church is not merely a venue, but a silent witness, amplifying the tension between the sacred and the profane.
