October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.Join us for the Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil, a meaningful collaboration among organizations committed to serving and supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
Domestic violence affects our entire community. Most of us know someone who has experienced it, and far too many of us have heard of someone whose life was taken because of it. This vigil is an opportunity to come together, honor the lives that will forever remain in our hearts, stand with survivors, and strengthen our collective voice in the fight to end domestic violence.
Your presence matters. We encourage every community member to make space and time to attend as we gather in remembrance, support, unity, and hope. Together, we can acknowledge those we have lost, uplift those still healing, and reaffirm our commitment to creating safer communities for everyone.
Candles will be provided, and light refreshments will be available.
Thank you in advance for standing with us, participating in this important cause, and helping ensure that the voices and lives impacted by domestic violence are never forgotten.
The program will take place at Lansing City Hall, followed immediately by a gathering on the Capitol Lawn for the Candlelight Vigil, weather permitting.
