Bring shaping, soldering, stone-setting, and design skills together around the timeless beauty of a freshwater pearl. In our Domed Pearl Ring class, you’ll create a handmade ring using techniques that include dapping, sweat soldering, prong setting, and design.
Rather than focusing on one isolated skill, this project allows you to see how several metalworking techniques work together in a finished piece. Each stage contributes to the structure and appearance of a ring designed around its freshwater pearl.
This intermediate-level class is for jewelry makers ready to build on their existing experience while combining shaping, joining, and setting skills with instructor guidance.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience.
