Transform the silhouette of a feather into a handmade ring that wraps around your finger. In our Feather Wrap Ring class, you’ll practice sawing as you create a Southwestern-inspired feather shape and turn it into a finished wrap ring.
The project gives you an opportunity to combine careful metal sawing with a distinctive ring design. As the feather takes shape, you’ll see how a flat silhouette can become a piece of jewelry designed to curve around the finger.
This intermediate-level class is for makers ready to build on their existing jewelry-making experience while developing their sawing skills with instructor guidance.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience.
