About this Event
Join Us for a Community Documentary Film Screening!
Paws Land is a documentary film that follows an animal rescue group from 2019 to 2023. Over four years, the film documents the rescue journeys of stray animals who are often abandoned, injured, or overlooked, as well as the volunteers who continue their work with limited resources and no guarantees of success.
During this period, more than forty rescue cases were filmed, yet only four animals ultimately found permanent homes. Through these four stories, Paws Land offers an honest and intimate look at the dedication, limits, and emotional labour behind animal rescue work.
This community screening invites audiences to witness these stories with respect, and to better understand the unseen efforts of animal rescue volunteers and the value of animal life.
Paws Land is part of The Paws Land Community Series, a film and storytelling initiative that honours animal rescue work and foster and adoption stories, and encourages community reflection. Information about related projects and open calls will be shared separately.
Join our community screening to honour animal rescue volunteers and raise awareness of the value of animal life.
