Join us at Elmwood Park for our very first Do NASA Live! Event. On November 19th at 4:00 PM meet astrophysicist Dr. Aimee Schechter and become an InSpector while we explore Artifact Inspector! Together, with Dr. Schechters help we'll look at telescope data from the Euclid telescope and look at data on distant galaxies.
The telescope has spread the light from the galaxies into rainbows of color, called spectra. Computer algorithms have tried to seperate these spectra from artifcats but they have made mistakes. Its is our job to correct these mistakes, with our help, well teach the next generation of computer models to do a better job and in turn teach more about the Universe we live in.
Tip: Please bring a tablet or laptop to participate; library has limited laptops to hand out.
