About this Event

THIRD THURSDAY | NOVEMBER 19
BROTHERS SHOW YOUR LOVE

Brothers Show Your Love is a staple show, a gathering that has become a place to return to. It exists to herald Black men in their fullness: not as a headline, a statistic, or a single story, but as the whole, brilliant, complicated, joyful people we are. It is built on six truths we hold dear: joy, pride, individuality, freedom, resilience, and audacity. For the next few hours, we set the world's narrow expectations at the door. Here, Black men can laugh loud, feel deeply, speak plainly, be tender, be bold, and be celebrated for all of it. There is no one right way to be a brother in this room, and no one has to shrink to fit.

Every artist on this stage is offering something true, and every person in this room is part of the offering. This year's stage brings together Paige Crawford, Toriryan, Khary Kimani Turner, Dr. Marvin Cotton Jr., Marcel Fable Price, Kahn Davison, Scott Woods, and Lance Wheeler. Each arrives with their own voice, their own style, and their own story, and together they make up the heartbeat of the evening. Expect to laugh, to be moved, to be challenged, and to leave feeling a little more seen than when you walked in.

Our musical guest, Bryce LP, brings a sound meant to lift the room and draw us closer to one another. DJ Righteous Knowledge sets the pulse from the first beat to the last, keeping the energy moving and the spirit high between every moment on stage. Guiding the night as our host is La Shaun phoenix Moore, who will welcome you in, hold the room together, and remind us why we gathered.

So listen closely. Cheer loudly. Let yourself be moved. And when the lights come up, carry this night with you: call your brother, check on your friend, and say the thing you have been meaning to say.closely.

ABOUT THIRD THURSDAY
