Celebrate the Festival of Lights with an evening of devotion, sacred rituals and community.
About this Event

Join us at Long Beach Mandir for a special Diwali celebration honoring the triumph of light over darkness and the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya.

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is one of the most cherished celebrations in Hindu tradition. Homes and temples are illuminated with diyas, prayers are offered, and families and communities gather to welcome auspiciousness, peace and prosperity.

The lighting of diyas symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and the awakening of inner wisdom. We also commemorate the return of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman to Ayodhya after their long exile, a moment celebrated with rows of lamps illuminating the kingdom.

Come together with the mandir sangha for an evening of traditional worship, sacred rituals, festive decorations and shared food.

Evening Schedule

Begin the celebration with traditional worship and prayers.

6:00 PM — Kalash PujaParticipate in a sacred ritual invoking auspiciousness and divine blessings.

8:30 PM — Dinner & Community Potluck

Bring your family and friends and experience the beauty of Diwali together.

We look forward to celebrating Diwali with you!
