DISCOVERIES Series V Showcases Future Stars Performing in Recital.
The DISCOVERIES Series continues to be widely acclaimed for the very high standard of the brilliant musicians taking part.
Since this series started, our performances have all been held at Leighton House, Kensington. For the first recital of the upcoming season we are honoured to have been invited to launch the new series at the National Liberal Club, 1 Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2HE on Monday 14 September. Further concerts in the 2026-27 series will take place at Leighton House Museum, 12 Holland Park Road, Kensington, London, W14 8LZ. Each recital is approximately one hour’s duration without an interval, starting at 7.00pm. Seating is unreserved.

George Wilkes is a British Cellist whose performances have taken him across the UK,
Europe and the US. He has received invitations to renowned festivals including the
Nume Festival in Italy, the Schiermonnikoog and Apeldoorn Festivals in the
Netherlands, the Santander Festival in Spain, and the Hellensmusic Festival in the UK.
He has received the Frank Britton award, highly commended at the Tunbridge Wells
International Competition and has received financial awards from the Albert Cooper
Trust, Help Musicians and NPS Grant scheme. He currently studies at the Guildhall
School of Music and Drama with Louise Hopkins.
Alexia Daphne Eleftheriadou is an award-winning Greek pianist sought after as a
soloist, chamber musician, and educator. She has performed recitals and concertos in
such prestigious venues as the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh,
Greek National Opera recital hall in Athens and most recently her debut recital at
London’s Wigmore Hall. Her affinity for the music of J.S. Bach has been recognised
with both the Royal Academy of Music’s Harriet Cohen Bach Prize and the RCS Bach
Prize for Harpsichord, Piano, and Organ. She also won the RCS Concerto Competition,
culminating in a performance and recording of Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto with
the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
