Unleash your creativity in this hands-on, 2-hour workshop led by Julie, a talented pressed flower artist from Palms and Violets Florist. Dive into the enchanting world of flower pressing and learn how to preserve blooms without losing their vibrant colours.
The workshop begins with an introduction to the traditional flower pressing technique using fresh, locally grown flowers. You’ll get to press your own flowers using a classic flower press — which you’ll keep to continue your crafting at home.
Julie will guide you through selecting the best flowers for beginners, mastering placement for optimal pressing, and tips to preserve brilliant colours that won’t fade.
In the second half, you’ll use a stunning selection of freshly pressed flowers to create your own beautiful pressed flower frame and a unique greeting card.
All tools and materials are provided, and by the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your flower press, a handcrafted frame, and a personalized card — perfect keepsakes or thoughtful gifts.
