Discover Inverness: A Walking Tour in Support of The Old High Inverness SCIO
A circular walking tour starting and finishing at the historic Old High Church. Along the way, you’ll explore some of the city’s best-known landmarks, including the Victorian Market, Inverness Town House, Inverness Castle and the beautiful River Ness.
Back at the Old High Church, volunteers will share an update on plans for the building and explain how you can help support its future.
Tour Information- Starting and finishing point: Old High Church, Inverness
- Distance: Approximately 2 km (1.2 miles)
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours
· Accessibility: Suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. There is an incline on the approach to Inverness Castle; the remainder of the route is on level ground.
· Weather: The tour will run in all but extreme weather conditions. If it must be cancelled, we will let you know as soon as possible. Please dress for the Scottish weather and wear suitable footwear—kilts are good in all weathers!
Supporting the Old HighThe tour is free, but a minimum donation of £10 to the Old High is suggested. Every contribution will help preserve this important part of Inverness’s heritage.
Alternatively, you can become a member of the Old High for just £15 per year.
