As global demand for energy continues to grow, communities around the world are searching for ways to meet that need while reducing costs, strengthening energy security and addressing the impacts of a changing climate. The challenge is immense, but so is human ingenuity.Join the Denver Museum of Nature & Science for the second chapter of this Digital Earth exploration of the technologies, ideas and innovations that could shape the future of energy. Hosted by Dr. Ka Chun Yu, Curator of Space Sciences, and Bob Raynolds, Geology Research Associate, this immersive program takes audiences on a journey across the globe to discover how scientists, engineers and communities are tackling one of the defining challenges of our time.
Using stunning 360° photography and dynamic data visualizations, Yu and Raynolds will explore both established and emerging energy solutions, from renewable power sources already transforming communities today to cutting-edge technologies that could change how energy is generated, stored and distributed in the decades ahead.
Along the way, you'll visit remarkable energy landscapes, examine the science behind these innovations and discover how geology, technology and human creativity are helping drive the search for sustainable energy solutions.
Whether you're interested in science, technology, the environment or the future of our planet, this engaging Museum program offers a thought-provoking look at how energy is produced today and how it may be transformed tomorrow.
