Dictator Records will celebrate Video Store Day with a special in-store event on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The celebration lasts from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dictator Records, located at 1008 Westside Drive, Greensboro, NC 27405. The shop will feature exclusive movie titles on Blu-ray, DVD, and VHS that are not available on streaming platforms, giving movie fans a chance to rediscover beloved titles and screen favorites from the past.
Video Store Day at Dictator Records invites cinema lovers to browse curated and hard-to-find titles. In addition to exclusive releases, the store will offer 50% off all pre-owned DVDs in stock, making it a can’t-miss event for collectors, families, and casual movie fans alike. Society-friendly initiatives are part of the day as the store asks attendees to bring a canned good to support its nonprofit partner and help provide food to those in need in the Greensboro community.
Attendees will have access to a curated selection of exclusive titles available on Blu-ray, DVD, and VHS for a limited time. Dictator Records emphasizes the value of physical media with unique, non-streaming options for movie enthusiasts who want to own and share films beyond the digital realm. The 50% discount on all pre-owned DVDs adds an attractive opportunity for guests to stock up on classics, cult favorites, and hidden gems.
In addition to the shopping and nostalgia, the company invites the community to participate in a local charity effort. By bringing a canned good to the event, guests will support its nonprofit partner in delivering meals to those in need. Dictator Records views this as a chance to celebrate cinema while giving back to the Greensboro area.
“We’re excited to bring Video Store Day to Greensboro and offer something special for movie fans who love physical media,” said a representative of Dictator Records. “From exclusive titles to great savings on pre-owned DVDs, this is a day to celebrate film in a tangible way and to help our neighbors through a simple act of giving.”
