Día de Muertos is a beautiful, ancient Mexican tradition rooted in Indigenous, pre-Hispanic understandings of life, death & remembrance.Death is understood as part of life’s natural cycle, & these days offer a way to honour those who have left this realm, to remember them, celebrate their lives & keep their memory alive in our hearts.
Join Lorena for an evening of ceremonial cacao, gentle movement, community & shamanic journeying, as we open the heart in remembrance & create a traditional Día de Muertos altar together.
Friday, October 30th
5:30 to 8:30 PM
$50
We believe in making our offerings accessible. If finances are a barrier, please reach out ~ we’ll find a way together.
At this time of year, when the veil between worlds is said to grow thin, we gather in remembrance, celebration & connection with those who came before us.
An ofrenda is an altar created in the final days of October to welcome the spirits home & invite them to spend time with their loved ones once again. Traditionally, November 1st is dedicated to children who have passed, while November 2nd honours adults.
Ofrendas are adorned with flowers, candles, photographs, food, drinks & meaningful objects, offerings that reflect the lives & loves of those being remembered.
