In a nutshell: This is more than a sound bath. It is a ceremony to honor our beloved deceased, tend to our grief, or heal unmended relationships. This journey supports inviting our healthy ancestors to remain a supportive presence in our lives, taking us inward to this deeper connection. Instruments will include Chiron gong, Monolini Monochord, singing bowls, drums, rattles, rainstick, Solfeggio tuning pipes and more.
You are welcome to bring photos or other small items of remembrance and we will create an ofrenda (altar space) to honor them. Some crystals will also be present to open pathways for ancestral connection. Oracle cards will be available if you wish to draw one to help connect with your guides.
A brief meditation will enhance and ground your journey. Feel supported and nurtured in this small community space. (limited to 11)
About Sound Journeys: Sound journeys bathe or massage our bodies, minds and spirits with healing sounds. This can help our noisy "monkey minds" get quiet as we shift to a Theta brainwave state from our usual Beta and Alpha states. This is where we relax deeply and experience peace and healing on a cellular level. Some people report physical, emotional, mental or spiritual shifts, such as pain relief, improved sleep, sense of clarity, calm, release of tension, feeling revitalized and much more.
What to expect: Come with your intentions for deeper listening and connecting with your own inner light and perhaps with ancestors who wish to accompany you. I believe whatever is meant to happen for you will and whatever is not meant to happen will not.
Need to know: Please do not wear any perfumes or cologne to this event, as some may be allergic. (I personally am sensitive to some perfumes and colognes.)
Please arrive about 10 minutes before the start time so that you can prepare for the experience, and silence your phone upon entering. Understand that late arrivals will not be admitted once the sound journey has begun, out of respect for the group's experience. If the door is closed, please do not knock and disturb the session.
Please bring whatever makes you comfy while lying on the ground for almost an hour and a half: a thick yoga or camping mat, (or even better is a chaise lounge cushion), a blanket and any pillows or cushions you may want for support. I will have lavender eye pillows and a limited number of bolsters for leg/back support.
Need to sit upright? No problem: either bring a lounge chair/zero gravity chair or ask me at least one day in advance if you need me to bring a floor chair for you (sitting on the floor with back support).
If you have any medical conditions that may be negatively impacted by sound or vibrations, please consult your health care professional before signing up. These may include pregnancy (first trimester), sound-induced epilepsy, or mental health diagnoses that may be triggered by intense sounds.
This session is open to adults and mature young adults/teens.

About the practitioner: Annmarie is trained with a diploma from the widely acclaimed international Sound Healing Academy and began her practice in early 2023. She is also a published poet and certified Spiritual Director/Guide, and has been an educator for 28 years. "While I have been writing poetry nearly my whole life, becoming a Sound Practitioner has been a calling that I never expected. It is such a delight for me to bring the power of sound vibrations to others and witness the profound impact it has."
