About this Event
Watch the CBD change from daylight to darkness as we camp out across the water for it.
We're meeting at the Devonport ferry wharf while the sun's still up, with the whole CBD skyline sitting right across the harbour — this is the shot of the night, catching the city holding onto the day's last colour before it drops away.
As the light fades we'll stay put along the waterfront through the blue hour, watching the CBD turn from sunset gold to lit-up cityscape one building at a time. Ferries crossing the harbour and the lights coming up on the water make good foreground while you wait for the sky to finish changing — bring a tripod if you've got one.
No theme, no pressure. You'll be walking alongside a friendly, easygoing group of photographers, all looking at the local community and tghe CBD at dusk and seeing something slightly different in it.

- The gradual shift from golden hour to blue hour, where mood replaces detail and light becomes the subject
