Darlington Borough Council is delighted to invite you to take part in Destination STEM Hopetown 2026 — a vibrant, hands-on STEM exhibition designed to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators.
Following the success of previous events, Destination STEM returns to the award‑winning Hopetown, Darlington, bringing together education and industry to showcase the exciting opportunities available across the STEM sector.

What to Expect
Hands-On STEM Activities - Delivered by you!
Between 40–50 North East businesses and organisations will host interactive activities that link real-world careers directly to STEM subjects.
Inspiring Young People
Across two days, around 2,000 students aged 10–13 will:
- Take part in interactive STEM experiences
- Meet local employers
- Discover exciting career pathways they may never have considered
