Instructor: Nikki ManzieShadows grow long as the days considerably shorten. Winter and darkness were not worshipped by the ancestors, but rather approached with respectful caution, veneration, and preparations made for potential difficulties ahead. Travnitsa Motanka was one such preparations – a motanka filled with herbs to help keep clean the air, ward off illness, spread care, and provide comfort.
Participants will learn folklore, folk handcraft techniques, and make a Travnitsa Motanka for their home.
