Join Dementia Training Australia for an informative and engaging session designed to build understanding, knowledge and confidence in supporting people living with dementia and their families.
This presentation will cover general dementia awareness, including recognising the early signs of dementia, understanding the different types of dementia and how they may present, and learning practical strategies to support people living with dementia within the community.
Attendees will also gain insights into effective communication approaches, behaviours associated with dementia, and available resources for families, friends and carers.
Suitable for all community members, this session provides valuable information for anyone wanting to better understand dementia and support those affected by it.
This event has been organised by the Peninsula Advisory Committee for Elders (PACE) in partnership with the Positive Ageing Team at Mornington Peninsula Shire.
