What is dehumanization? When a person is dehumanized are they viewed as entirely nonhuman? Are they viewed as less than fully human? Is dehumanization always demonizing? What is the difference between cruelty and dehumanization? Is misogyny dehumanizing? Is racism dehumanizing? Please join us for a discussion of dehumanization with Kate Manne and David Livingstone Smith. Philosophers at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, faculty) are encouraged to attend.
