About this Event
In honor of its 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Kennedy Library special exhibit Declaring the Revolution: America's Printed Path to Independence celebrates the document; the writings that influenced it; the circumstances that led to its creation; and the individuals from the revolutionary generation who embodied its principles, using rare pamphlets, books, broadsides, maps, and engravings from the collection of David M. Rubenstein. Rubenstein, a bestselling author and the cofounder and cochairman of The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest and most successful private equity firms, discusses the exhibit and the importance of access to historical documents with Kennedy Library Director Alan Price.
